Indian selectors left out Yuvraj Singh from the limited overs series against Sri Lanka starting on August 20. Manish Pandey and Rohit Sharma have made a return to the squad which will play five One-Day Internationals (ODI) and one Twenty20 International in the island nation.
Rohit Sharma, who was rested for the West Indies series, returns and will be the vice-captain of the side. The national selectors also rested Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav.
Manish Pandey was chosen for the ICC Champions Trophy, which was held in England and Wales in June, but could not go due to injury. However, he led India A to victory in the tri-series held in South Africa.
